LichtStrauss

Zu Frühlingsbeginn verwandelt Victoria Coeln mit LichtStrauss den Stadtpark für zwei Monate in ein Drei Hektar großes Licht- und Medienkunstwerk. Inspiriert von mutigen Frauen aus Strauss’ Operetten stellen sieben starke Frauen unserer Zeit mit ihrer Kunst die Frage nach weiblicher Präsenz und Sichtbarkeit einst und jetzt.

Johann Strauss, der Walzerkönig, prägt seit 200 Jahren die Musikgeschichte. Mit schwungvollen Melodien, die Leichtigkeit und Eleganz mit höchster Kompositionskunst vereinen, machte er den Wiener Walzer weltberühmt. 2025 feiert Wien seinen 200. Geburtstag mit einem Festreigen: Über 60 Produktionen spannen den Bogen von klassischen Konzerten und Operetten bis hin zu zeitgenössischer Performancekunst – und lassen die Stadt im Dreiviertel-Takt erklingen.
