Sakina Teyna, stammt aus einer kurdisch-alevitischen Familie und kämpfte in den Bergen im Widerstand, bevor sie vor zwanzig Jahren als politischer Flüchtling nach Österreich kam. Inspiriert von Ninetta aus Strauss‘ Fürstin Ninetta, tastet sie die Schatten der Vergangenheit ab und spricht in Kurdisch über die Verbindung zwischen Menschen, vor allem Frauen. Dabei transformiert sie in ihrem Gesang Ninettas Walzermelodie in ihr faszinierend dunkles, orientalisches Timbre.
