Lichtgebilde #2310

  • Hansel Sato

“The Dance Around Concern deals with the current environmental crises and their connection to the crisis of liberal democracies. It poses the question of to what extent we as individuals and as a society are capable of solving these challenges in a spirit of solidarity and creativity.” (Hansel Sato).

In autumn 2023, the theme also forms the common thread of various art projects by the SOHO Studios, which develop strategies for poetic and playful approaches to coping with the crisis. The languages in the text graphic – German, Turkish, B/C/S, Farsi, English, Spanish – supplemented with Hungarian (Körbetáncolt aggodalom) refer on one hand to the mother tongues of the artists participating in the exhibition, and on the other to the linguistic diversity of the Sandleitenhof, the municipal housing complex where SOHO is located.
