Sakina Teyna setzt sich in ihren künstlerischen Aktivitäten für Frauen- und Menschenrechte ein. Mit ihrer Musik möchte sie den Reichtum der verschiedenen Kulturen und Sprachen erfahrbar machen. Die Vielsprachigkeit ist ihr dabei sehr wichtig. Bewusst singt sie auf der Bühne nicht nur auf Kurdisch, sondern auch auf Türkisch, Armenisch, Farsi oder Arabisch.

Die Textgrafik hat ihren Ursprung in einem Slogan zur Stärkung der Frauen in der kurdischen Unabhängigkeitsbewegung. Der Tod der 23-jährigen Kurdin Jina Mahsa Amini am 16.9.2022 im Polizeigewahrsam in Teheran löste weltweit Proteste aus.
