In the context of nowadays digital capitalism, reterritorialization has grown a lot in meaning as a deciding concept. It reflects the restructuring of social, economic and political dynamics in specific territories. The influence of this process can be traces back from the reformation of the roman-catholic church to the era of the cold war, in which geopolitical rivalries between the Sowjet Union and the US shaped spatial configuration and power structures. In these times, space was, in a physical and symbolical sense, a battleground where ideologies collide and territories were divided. An iconic symbol of this Territorialization is the Berlin Wall, serving as a constant reminder for the Reterritorialization of power in specific regions.
