Manaho Shimokawa
Saffi, „Zigeunerbaron“

Manaho Shimokawa, zeitgenössische Tänzerin japanischer Herkunft, ist nahezu nie in üblichen Bühnenräumen anzutreten. Mit der Saffi aus dem „Zigeunerbaron“ zitiert sie „die Liebe ist eine Himmelsmacht”, im Japanischen gibt es für die Liebe viele Ausdrücke. Das spricht sie an, während sie ihren weiten roten Rock schwingt – eine Hommage an Loïe Fuller, die berühmte Zeitgenossin von Johann Strauss.
